Has anyone compared the Pentax 45mm lenses - the 645 A and FA and the 67 versions?
The 645 versions have so-so reputations, the 67 has a good reputation but would it be a better lens than the 645?
Specifically looking for use on 35 digital with a shift adapter.

I use the 6x7 45mm with the Zork, it's good but not great. You should consider the 55 f2.8 or the 35FA if you can find one.

Thank you Dennishh
Can I ask which version of the 55 (645) lens you are using - A or FA?

I use the 45mm 67 lens on my mamiya zd with the zörk adapter (also the 55mm, 75mm, 105mm for the 67). they are all very good lenses. the 45mm is pretty sharp but has some CA. If you use the 45mm without shift, the CA is symmetrical and can be easily corrected. when you use it with the zörk and you shift a lot, the CA is more difficult to correct since it is the unsymmetric. Since I use it alway with shift I use the lightroomfunction of "remove all CA around borders" (all something like that) which handles the CA quite well. But there is also quite a bit wavelike distortion when fully shifted that is not so easy to correct.

Hi,
You can check http://diglloyd.com/prem/prot/DAP/index.html#Pentax645D
It's a pay site, but he does have a lot of good info on a lot of lenses, so I'd suggest it may be worth the price.
Best regards
Erik

I'm using the A. Don't remember why I chose that instead of the FA, but most likely it had better reviews or specks. Good price also.
