Title: HDMI and Ethernet Channel
Post by: jacktheinstaller on February 12, 2011, 08:17:04 pm
Anyone have any knowledge about what I can use the Ethernet Channel on a HDMI cable for?  I went on the HDMI home page and they say what it is but they do not give any viable applications for it.  Does this mean I can use is like a network patch cable?  I am not sure if I need it but I am seeing it as very common in the 1.4 cables.

Here is an example:

Are people just buying them for anticipation for the future products comming our way?  Any input is appreciated!
