Title: Mirror lockup and live view with 5D2
Post by: NigelC on February 09, 2011, 06:53:25 am
When using tripod, I have been enabling mirror lock-up, focussing manually in LV, going out of LV, press once to lockup, press twice to uncap shutter. Just thought  - surely LV locks up mirror anyway so if shoot straioght form LV, no need for separate mirror lock-up?

That is correct the mirror is locked up in live view just shoot the picture!

I know the subject line says "5D2", but just a caveat for any xxxD (Rebel) users that might be reading - Live view does not behave this way on those cameras.  If set for auto-bracketing & self-timer in live view as described, all three shots will be taken with one shutter-press, but the mirror will drop and return between each shot.
