Title: Canon iPF 8300 Error message problem
Post by: araru on January 21, 2011, 09:06:02 am

I got a Canon iPF8300 firmware 1.1 printer. During print head cleaning I got an error message  03800500-2F44.
So I'm searching for solution to fix i fast. I guess error code is on the service manual but only service have it (it takes time)
Quality is poor, and I can't clean my prindheads.

Printing quality was greate, but now I can't work

Years ago I was an Epson 9880, 11880 and 9900 user. Now I'm a Canon fan ... until now

Did you try calling the Canon support line? They are very good.

The 2F44 indicates a printhead problem, but that is about all the info I can offer.

turn printer off
hold down the Load and Navigate buttons and press Power.
make sure there is an "S" on the right side of the screen before letting go.

move to the right: ADjust Setting Menu
scroll down to Test Print> OK

this will print out a color print of the inks
each color print module will have a upper and lower half...so don't be alarmed if there is a small space in each color.

from this print, you can tell which print head is off.
