Hi, I'm very new to Aperture, just trying it out.
Is it possible to keep my naming structure w/ Aperture?
MyInitials_YYMMDD_CameraImageNumber
So so an image taken today should look something like this:
sm_110116_1234
This is the best I've been able to come up with so far in A3:
sm_20110116_IMG_1234
So, can I reduce the year to two digits and keep the camera generated image number but lose the IMG?

Not sure what camera your using but Nikon's will let you put your initial in the file name if this helps. 20110117_SM_1234. I'm sure if you look through your camera menu there is probably a similar function.
Hope this helps.

I'm using Canon, I'll have to see if it has that feature.
So it lets you drop that DCS prefix in camera or you do it in Aperture? I want to keep the camera generated numbers but lose the DSC prefix. (And use YY for the year.)

I take it Apple's support forum is the place to ask Aperture questions.

My Nikon's let me replace the DCS with my initials. Have a look your Canon may also.
