At the risk of being stoned - yes i am ducking for cover,  :) ...and contrary to my usual stance...I think visually it would be better to just have the wasps and birdhouse without the fence behind it. Regardless of how out of focus it is, I think it isn't really important in the narrative nor visual composition.

 God I hate those things!! Rather have a hostile with a bayonet after me, at least you can track them!!

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't those hornets, not wasps?

FWIW, WD-40 dispatches those things nearly instantly.  Cheaper than dedicated sprays and just as effective.

I like the shot but would either darken the background or tighten up the shot so that most of it is about the bees.
