Recently, I conducted tests of various scanning software for scanning negatives with my Minolta 5400. My tests are described in this thread: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/forum/index.php?topic=49494.0. What I discovered, especially a “hidden” negative profile for my scanner, may be of interest to other owners of not only a Minolta 5400 but also the MultiPro and other Minolta scanners that use the same basic software. Because of the title of that thread, however, it could easily be overlooked by people who may find it useful. Hence, the reason for this post.
