Just like some people would remark "just another sunset," I would remark "yes, it's a Japanese Maple. So?"

I think what the poster is trying to say that there is nothing actually stands out in this photograph. No interesting colrs, light etc. Maybe a tighter shot under differnt light would have been better

I find it quite attractive as is. Not earth-shaking, but nice.

THere is nothing graphical about it, no interesting shape to really look at. And yes the colors are a bit flat
