Greetings All,
As an introduction, I am a visual artist and employ a Haselblad 500c (80mm lens) utilizing a Lightphase Digital back for Documentation and copying purposes only. Last month, I had the recent misfortune of finding my IR Filter cracked upon my LightPhase back.
I've been diligently searching for an alternative DIY solution and have recently been stuck on where to obtain a comparable filter replacement to the required dimensions. (Cant afford the $1K for phase one to repair and re-calibrate my back)
My question:
-might anyone have a spare filter they are will to part with that would work?.
or
can anyone a recommend 'where' to obtain this filter or comparable? or a solution that would provide similar performance?
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! thanks

You could go the Leica M8 route and buy IR filters for your lenses.
Cheers,

thanks for the suggestion Tom, but I'd like to try and save this setup. The thought of retiring the digi back to a paperweight seems premature.

I think what Tom meant was that you can use the back without the filter and then use IR filters on the lens?

yes YAYA, that is correct, though ideally would like to obtain the orig !R filter for this back. Hoping someone has removed their Filter Glass to convert ones back to a dedicated infa-red back.
Also, if anyone has any spec info on the glass and where I may obtain a similar replacement would be great!! thanks
