Title: Panasonic GF1 or Panasonic TZ10 or Olympus P1
Post by: eminnem19961 on December 05, 2010, 05:24:31 am
Hello I'm thinking of getting one of these cameras.I guess I prefer the Panasonic, but the price is pretty high for me.I'm 14 yrs old, lol.Sooo I want to ask you : will I still able to film video in AVCHD quality,if I get only the body of the Panasonic.Oh and tell me more about the Olympus P1.I need one of these cameras,so I can shoot sketches for YouTube.Oh and is the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 a good choice?

The autofocus of the Olympus is rather slow, and from what a friend shared doesn't follow the subject well. In other words, the camera struggles to stay in focus if the object is moving. I recently purchased a Gf1 with the 20 1.7 lens, and have been very pleased with it. The focusing speed is reasonable, and does alright at following moving objects.... Usually. I haven't had it long enough to tell you how well it does in every situation. I've been using it primarily as a point and shoot, and not as a video cam. If your goal is primarily video, then you might be better off with a low end canon or panasonic hd camcorder.

Thoughts,
Rick
