Title: Clean Install LR3 and Windows 7 - Need help with LR catalogue

I have just completed a clean install of my Operating System (Win 7 ) and LR3.  I have a backup of my previous installation of LR3 and my folders.
What is the best way to restore my LR catalogue. Can I restore all my previous collections ?   Thanks.

Install Lightroom, restore your backup, and in Explorer double click the catalogue file.

It's a bit worrying that someone can decide to reinstall the OS and succeed in doing so, yet still ask about getting Lightroom up and running as before. Maybe backtrack a bit and read up on Lightroom and its catalogue?
