I am looking at buying inks for my 7900 overseas as the Australian price is excessive.
Finding a supplier who will ship them to Australia is a problem. At present shipping if free within the US from just about anyone. Prices vary up to $40 for the 700ml cartridges. Starting retail is $279 USD std discount $$245 USD and some others have them at $200 USD
Does anyone have any recommendations where to buy. (or could send me a personal message with the information.)
Our dollar is now parity with the USD. But the buying power is not reflected in Epson Australia or retailer price. ($204AUD 350ml - $360AUD 700ml)
Thanks rob

Bear in mind that purchases over $1000- are taxable on import into Australia (you have to pay GST and any applicable import duty).
Prices are not always as simple as they seem - different countries have different tax structures, for example.
Also, you will not have any local warranty support in Australia with regard to the inks. Your printer will still be covered, of course, but if you have a problem with the ink you'll have to return it to the US.

Who are you buying your inks through?
Looked at the customs side and will share the imports around ;)

Use http://www.shipito.com/ which results in a low freight cost to Oz. http://www.itsupplies.com/ are a good source. There's no duty due to the free Trade Agreement, and Customs are disinterested if the equivalent Australian price is below $1000 AUD. But if you were asked to pay the 10% GST your purchase will still save a lot of money.
We buy all clothes and footware frrom US sources and I know Aussie retailers are worried.

it Supplies refused to talk to me http://www.itsupplies.com/ = Chris Rose namily. I was recommended to contact them but in my book they seem a pack of Wallys. Not good public relations so I say steer clear.
