The first set of "bubble" photos didn't really make much of an impression on me one way or the other, but I think now you're on to something.  This one is far more interesting.  Keep exploring.

Being extremely translucent..makes them ever so interesting, but the light they're captured in makes the photograph.

This latest set of images was done in far more "useful" light.

I was thinking the same thing. The light and non-intrusive background really makes these interesting.

Absolutely fabulous. You are really pushing the boundaries of your inspiration...and it feels like you are having fun doing it !!

I would push the abstraction even more and have a play at removing all the elements which indicate 'how' you are making the images. Keep it mire mysterious to illicit and stimulate inquiry.

I'd object here.
I believe the ropes are an integrate part of the image and contrast nicely with the soap tubes.
IMO the reduction takes away something which leaves the image much weaker than before.

Isn't it great we all have the opportunity to express our opinions about what works for oneself. I found that once my mind had recognised that the ropes were the structure forming the bubbles an element of mysetery had been removed for me. When the ropes are removed I question how they were formed. ... I see pure shape, fluidity and amazingly beautifully balanced tonality and colour; and an element of mystery that is just magical.

Yes, thats one of the great things in art, theres not always a single possible solution,
and there are always many valid possibilities to read an image.

I prefer Jules' crop without wires. I think it works better as an abstract image. The shape and colors of the bubbles are what's important here. The wires only detract from the image, imo.
