Title: Brushing Off Matte Paper Q's
Post by: JimGoshorn on September 24, 2010, 11:49:35 am
Now that I am venturing into the world of matte papers, I have a couple of questions:

1. What kind of brush is the best to dust off the paper?

2. How do you brush off roll papers (or is it better to use sheets)?

Specifically, I am interested in using Canson's Rag Photographique and Edition Etching and I didn't notice issues with dust in 8.5x11 25 sheet boxes I ran for testing but I figure it's better to ask than find out later :)

Thanks!

Jim

I went to a local art store and bought a 4" wide soft bristle brush.  Between uses it's stored in a ziplock bag to keep it clean.

I only use sheets so no idea about roll paper.

I found Canson Rag Photographique to be very clean (dust free).  I printed up an entire exhibition of twelve 24 x 32 inch prints without a need to brush the roll of paper.
