Title: Adobe Profile Printer???????
Post by: Photo Op on September 20, 2010, 05:28:27 am
What's taking so long for this to be released (besides the fact it's supposed to be free)?

Hi, is my above question so stupid ? I don't really know what it is and what it can be used for.

No it's not so stupid. I wasn't sure what the OP was asking about either. Maybe he's got the name mixed up with something else.

There is a "bug" in CS5 when printing targets for making printer profiles. Basically, when sending a profile target image to the printer, you do not want Photoshop or the printer to do any color management. Adobe removed this option from the print routines in CS5. Adobe has said they would issue a free, stand alone application to print profile targets. Adobe has not released the application nor (to my knowledge) given a date for its release.

Exactly! Aside from being free, what's the holdup?
