I acquired a Horizon Perfekt, a Russian swing lens panoramic 35mm camera. Probably the butt-ugliest camera I've ever seen, but perfektly fun to use. I ran my first roll of film through it today to test it out and I am pleased with it. Shooting in this panoramic mode is definitely different and will take some getting used to, but I think I'm going to enjoy it. First result:

Nice shot, but what I want to see is a photograph of the camera!

I agree that your photo is much prettier than the camera. It looks like a really fun gadget. I could imagine experimenting with waving it slowly around during exposures to distort the scene in various ways. Looks like more fun than a Holga! Do show us more!

Thank you. Point taken. I'll concentrate on your results!

Just read about the camera, quite an interesting concept. I like your image. It has a HDR look about it, but more importantly it conveys a sense of "memory" about the memorial itself. Almost a nastalgic look. I must say your image looks a lot better than the samples on the camera's site.

This one is very nice.

Thanks all. I shot another roll of film with it this past weekend and started to get to know it's quirks. The worst one being that the swing mechanism's timing can be a little uneven, resulting in some vertical "streaks". Part of it's charm, I suppose, and something that can happen with similar types of camera costing three times as much (I'm thinking about the Widelux).
Since the camera has no light meter, a little bit of thought is required before pressing the button. Sunny 16 works just fine. These were shot on TMax 100, f16 @ 1/125 sec.

I love these :) Thanks for sharing! You can't really achieve the same look with a 'normal' DSLR.
