I am currently printing for an upcoming exhibit on my 9900. My setup is as follows:
9900 via USB 2
Mac OS 10.5.8
CS3 (right now downloading CS5 trial version)
The problem I'm having is printing 30"x40" or larger prints. I print in full 16bit from CS3. When I try to print larger, many times, (after going through all printer setup stuff and clicking the final "print") CS3 with get stuck in the "sending to printer" progress window until it finally just disappears and then nothing goes to the print cue. I've already removed and added my 9900 from the "printer list". I've restarted my computer, and even tried saving my file to be printed on my desktop (that sometimes works). Any experience with this? Any tips for printing big successfully? Is CS5 + Snow Leopard + 9900 more stable? Any insight is much appreciated.

Not sure I can help but here is how my 9900 is setup. On a Mac with 10.5.8 processing with Lightroom3 and CS5. All printing is through Lightroom. Sending files for very large panos 500mb,750mb and the ocassional 1GB. Ethernet connected not USB. The 500mb and larger files can take 30 minutes or longer from computer to printer.. This is just more of a checklist and not a fix. Seems like the only different items are Ethernet vs. USB and CS3 vs. CS5?

That's the problem...sending high rez data via PS CS3 caused a spooling error and required reseting the Photoshop prefs. CS4 fixed it but that's not a legit option now, so only CS5 will ultimately fix the issues...

Are you saying that CS5 should perform better with large files?

CS4 fixed the issue...CS5 doesn't have the same problem at all.

Thanks for your insight!
I've downloaded CS5, and so far it works fine.
How does CS5+9900+Snow Leopard perform?

I have PS CS5 and SL using the EP 9900, and the combinations works just fine. I am using Color Byte RIP (Image Print)
