Title: Lightroom 3 and Leitz
Post by: schrodingerscat on August 10, 2010, 10:15:08 pm
Greetings all -

Lots of scuttlebut flying about that Leica has finally worked out a deal with Adobe and that LR 3 can be downloaded and licensed as part of their software package with the cameras.

Anyone here succeeded yet?

Thanks

I see 2.6.1 on the downloads page.  I sorta suspect if you downloaded 2.x already that you'll have to pay for an upgrade to LR3.  If you've never downloaded anything yet who knows.  I doubt it gives perpetual upgrades.

And what's $100 if you plunked down $10K for a body plus a lens ;-)

To answer my own question, just downloaded LR3 through the Leica site.

Have also just purchased the LL tutorial. Look forward to learning how to make the best use of Lr, as From Camera to Print and the ACR tutorials were a big help.

After using PS since 7, will be interesting to see how long it takes to unlearn the conditioning.

Ok, and just to be sure I understand correctly, I now assume that if I buy an M9 today, that my free D/L of LR can be the Ver. 3?

Yes, that's right.
