Title: Panasonic G1 viewfinders
Post by: fotato on July 22, 2010, 06:43:42 pm
Is there some mode on the Panasonic G1 that keeps the image in place for motor drive sequences?  Or is it a toy? The files are nice at 12 megapixels, but the subject disappearing as you try to shoot any kind of action is a little disconcerting.

No, viewfinder blackout is along with focus tracking areas where dSLRs are in a different class than the new mirrorless cameras. G1 does pretty well on single shot AF speed, and it's certainly not a toy, but it's simply not suited for fast action photography.
