Title: Banding......Help
Post by: OLE.M on July 16, 2010, 07:18:27 am
Hallo.
I have got an Epson stylus 7800 printer, and i suddenly i got banding on my print.
The last one was ok.
I use wider platengap because before it smudge my print.
I work in b/w and use DXO FilmPack 2. to put on some filmgrain(this works fine).
I did sharpen a bit after putting on filmgrain this time.
Can this be the problem or what can banding come of?
Thanks for any input.

Does a nozzle check show any breaks? If not, it sounds like a feed calibration issue. Re-check the Media Type setting to make certain that it matches the print media.

Epson printers I've had in the past occasionally suddenly develop banding issues, especially as they got older.  Doing a couple of head cleanings plus a realignment always fixed it.
