Hello, I have a rotatrim m54 and it is grea for everything but canvas. Matte canvas I can sometimes get away with. Any type of satin canvas won't cut at all. The canvas seems to get pushed between the blade and the edge of the board if that makes any sense.
I've replaced the blade but it made no difference.
Curious if anyone else is having the same issue or can suggest another product.
Thanks,
Mike

I am not familiar with that brand timmer/cutter. Foster/Keencut and similar rotary trimmers have set screw adjustments that can improve the ability to cut canvas. We experienced the same issue with an Advanced Rotary cutter and a couple of turns of the set screws took care of the issue.

Check out the Keencut Javeline series.

+1 for what felix said. The Javelin is a versatile cutter that can cut flexible media like paper, banner, adhesive-backed media, as well as semi-solid substrates such as foamboard, cardboard, Sintra, polystyrene board. It can also be used to score/cut Acrylic/Plexiglas. Very nice unit that uses standard box cutter blades.

Hi Mike I have the M54 too, and usually my canvas prints will cut perfectly, other times I have issues like yours. I think it's because the steel guides must flex a little as cutting along the canvas? I have the 36" cutter version as well and this works flawlessly. This is cutting Breathing Color Chromata after being coated.

A little off topic, but what trimmers are you guys using for fabrics, I have such a hard time cutting when I print on polyester.
