Hi There, and welcome to the list! Some great work there; thanks for sharing them!!
Mike.
P.S. I guess I'm going to have to put Iran on the 'places to visit list'...

Hi!
Those are very inspirational photos. Well done! I wish I had a few like that in my portfolio. I sometimes tell people (when it's a dull day and I'm feeling sad) that photography is all about light and shade
You've emphasised light, shade and simplicity in many of your photos. They are beautiful and stunning.
Are you managing to sell many? Are you even trying to sell them? I don't see any prices on your website.
I lived and worked in Teheran for about 10 months when I was a 19-20 year old (about 47 years ago), proof reading the Teheran Journal and teaching English. It was a great adventure, but sadly my photos of the time are faded Ektachrome snapshots of little artistic value.
I remember vividly climbing Mt Damavand, the Alborz mountains north of Teheran, and visiting a skiing location near to Teheran. I was surprised, at the time, that you have snow in winter in Iran.
I also visited Tabriz. I have a photo of a blue mosque, but I now can't remember whether it was in Tabriz or the southern part of Teheran.
Cheers!

I echo the general sentiments!
For me, the finest of them all is the multi-coloured desert shot that's on the main gallery display, centre-left, three rows from the bottom of the list.
Where nature can give you that, who needs people?

Ali,
Really nice work, congratulations. You seem to have captured the true essence of the beauty of Iran. I have lived for some years in Oman, and some of your photos remind me of the country; especially the deserts and mountains.

Thanks pbizarro for your comments,

Exquisite images, Ali. B&W can be just magical for simple landscapes, and these are compositionally excellent.
-
Very nice work. Thanks for sharing.
Have Fun,

Stunning shots! I love B&W photography when there are lots of contrasting elements. Is #1 IR? I have a friend who converted one of her SLR's to true IR. Nice! ;D

Such powerful and evocative black and white...great work...such a pleasure to wander around in them. I love where your eye comes to rest for each of your captures...we so often hear less is more.....These are significantly more...Thank you for inviting us in...Pat

Captivating capture (forgive the redundancy) of the still moment. BTW, I inadvertently selected the first with a careless cursor movement and found that it, and several others, work well as blue and white.
Thanks,
Dale

I am sure Ali would make stunning photographs in ANY environment ....
-
Outstanding work. I particularly like your desert and winter images. The austereness and simplicity of some of the scenes really comes through.

I love your style of photography and really enjoyed browsing the galleries on your site! One or two of the shots are vaguely Charlie Waite 'esque' with their orderedness and sense of calm. Great stuff.

Thanks for your comments , my friends

To be honest, I seldom have bothered to look at Black and White work.
Fortunately, I did look at these images and they made be realize how wrong I was.
These are stunning. They are art.
Period.
