Title: Grid screen for Canon 5D2
Post by: NigelC on June 26, 2010, 05:20:05 am
As I'm in the process of acquiring a 5D2, I planned to fit the grid screen,  which is what  I currently use with my 5D. Information says this is optimised for f5.6. My lenses are f4 or f2.5, although may get Zeiss 21/2.8 and EF 85/1.8 some time in future. Are there any disadvantages to this screen vis a vis standard fit on the 5D2.

Hi,
I use the 5D II grid screen all the time as my normal screen, with a variety of primes and zooms that vary widely from 5.6.

FYI, I think the Grid screen for 5D II has finer lines than the one for the 5D (which I also used in the past). At least in my case, I detected a difference and an improvement in the new one.

I think you'll be just fine with it.

So long for now, TOM

(news to me)
