Just received back from Canon service today in tip top order...baffle ring replaced , all functions confirmed, focus ring lubricated. Checked and adjusted center/tilt/front, back focus and cleaned /serviced all to factory spec. A wonderful lens at $950. Pat S.

Now I have a problem...just discovered the version II is an 82mm filter which excludes the use of my vari densities and duo's from singh-ray...have the 77's which I use with step ups but this (82>77) would not be good and singh-ray only available 77 so cannot even purchase an82...will call him tomorrow ... can always just use an 82 mm circpolarizer...but I've loved the vari with the 24...Jury duty tomorrow but I'll get his sorted in the next few days...

Have sorted out my Singh Ray dilemma...so this lens is set to go...as I posted, just freshly serviced by Canon...a wonderful lens for the $. I will pay shipping in the US Pat
