Title: Epson 4800 strangeness ?
Post by: larkis on June 24, 2010, 12:19:19 am
This is a scan of what my printer prints out when i ask it to do a nozzle check (on the printer itself not the software utility). Most of the photos that i have been printing come out fine but after a couple came out with streaks on the edges i decided to do a test print. Are the gaps in the test print normal ? It almost appears like there is a grid there. Should those swatches be completely solid ?

I'm using photo black in this printer.

Maybe try a nozzle check from the driver utility, then you can compare the image on screen.

Late answer, but what you see is the correct pattern for this printer. If you have a clogged nozzle you will see an empty square.
