Title: dust of to clean ccd's

Don't use it, it can leave residue. Also if you spray liquid on the sensor the thermal shock can damage or crack the sensor.

it is recommended on this site that dust off not be used to clean ccd's, stating that the propellant for the gas in dustoff may contain oils. isnt the gas in dust off its own propellant? isnt the high compressability of this gas the reason it was chosen as the gas in dust off? is it being said that this gas itself may have oils in it, may not be clean?
