I have had a Canon S50 for a couple of years and it is a fantastic, well built camera. Based on the S50's track record, I recommended a friend buy the new S70. However, when I saw it, I was supprised that build quality does not look to be as good a the S50. The lense door is also difficult to operate. So, should my friend buy the new S70 or maybe pickup an S50?
