Title: multi monitor set
Post by: fredjeang on May 24, 2010, 11:02:34 am
Hi,

I've never done that before so I would like to ask some advices about working with 2 monitors on the same pc ( I run windows).
Currently I'm using 2 pc units with 2 different monitors, 1 on each.

Is there something special I have to know? Can I for example connect 2 different aspect ratio monitors on the same unit?

Is it possible to set different color profiles?

Thank you for your help.

Cheers.

Windows handles this quite nicely as far back as Windows XP. You can have different aspect ratios and different resolutions and you can calibrate each monitor separately (assuming your calibration software supports this). Of course your hardware must support dual monitors, but that's pretty standard these days.

Connect your monitors and start the computer. You should get the same display on both monitors. Then use Display Properties to set up the extended desktop as you like.
