Title: EIZO monitor - Picture mode or sRBG mode for Spyder2 calibration
Post by: geossl on May 23, 2010, 07:59:57 am
Hi All,

For EIZO monitor, there is fine adjustment contrast mode such as Picture mode or sRGB mode. What mode to use for monitor calibration using Spyder2?

Hi,
I hesitate but here goes. My understanding is when I calibrate for Graphic work or Print in the Gamut of the EIZO screen being Adobe RGB. I use the lower intensity suggested settings in Color Navigator which corrects my problem of prints being to dark and set brightness in Lightroom at 75 for Web rendition.

The first step of calibration was to set the screen to sRGB, lowering the brightness quite a bit and always calibrate at night for both Graphic and Print work. I since stop and the end results are the same.

I always asked myself when I switch back to the sRGB option if the Gamut is calibrated being that the monitor has a Adobe RGB Gamut.

I am sorry if I dont have the exact answer to your question. I just wanted to share my pratices...
