Hello All,
A recent lightening strike during Nashville Tennessee's big storm took out my computer (data is backed up) and fried the USB connection to my Epson 3800. I have a new computer on order but I wanted to know how well (if it too, is not fried) the Ethernet - Networking connection works for printing out of a Mac with Snow Leopard? Is the printing experience the same as USB. Should I just chuck the printer if it has had a voltage surge?
Many Thanks,
J. Paul

This is exactly my setup. It works flawlessly. No need to toss the printer unless it doesn't work.

Had zero issues with my 3800 and 3880 over Ethernet and SN.

Printing to my 3800 over Ethernet has been also very reliable for me. Highly recommended.

Thanks to all for your quick replies. I have made the move from a (fried PC) to a new Mac Pro and trying to do as much homework as I can before the computer gets here.
Kind Regards,
J. Paul
