Title: Comparisons among Rollei 40mm f/3.5 Xenotar, Mamiya 7 43mm, Canon gears
Post by: topgreat on April 27, 2010, 12:00:40 am
Hi,

My question is about Rollei 40mm f/3.5 Xenotar. Anyone used to compare this lens with Mamiya 7 43mm or 50mm? What is your opinion on there performances? I have Rollei 6008af and Mamiya 7, but I cannot afford both lenses together.

Thanks,
Yodyium

Forgot to ask. How are their performances compared to canon gears taken with 5D Mark II?

Wish I had more to add but only have experience with the rollei 40mm f/3.5.  I find it a great lens but have read many wonderful things about the mamiya 7 lenses and in particular with the 43mm. Probably the mamiya will be cheaper too?
