I recently bought a few Verbatim FW 800 SureFire Hard Drives, and the first thing you realize is that you cannot daisy chain them. So now I need a FW (Firewire) 800 Hub. I checked the web and planned on buying a Belkin (because of past happiness with their FW400 hub), but soo n discovered the Belkin models are unavailable. A few other brands are, but I have never heard of these names before.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks, and so long for now, TOM

hi pixpop,
So are you using this item?
On an Intel/Mac?
Happy?
(It’s not any bother and performs as you would hope?)
Thanks, and so long for now, TOM

I use it on an Intel MBP. It's very well made and works perfectly! I also take it with me in my computer bag when I'm on the road and never had a problem. I've been using it with two g-tech raid minis attached via fw800. It's great.

Hi,
Good. I’ll probably get one.
Do you need to use an AC Adapter with 2 drives running on this hub? THe SurFire FW800 drive do have an accessory AC Adapter, but I’d rather KIS.
BTW, are you making a RAID out of the 2 drives?
So long for now, TOM
It's great.

Hi,
Well I got the Kramer VS-30 FW 800 Hub, and it isn't working correctly on My MacPro Desktop Machine.
I'm having my drive disconnect itself and I get the Improper Device Removal Warning.
I hooked the same drive up to the Apple internal Hub and it works great. Very fast.
So I have a message in to Kramer Tech Support.
Maybe it's defective?
You ever get those errors?
Thanks, and so long for now, TOM
