Title: Merging all Aperture libraries
Post by: madisonphotography on March 13, 2010, 02:10:45 pm
I had, up until last week, used several different mac and several different external hard drives to process my image. I took  the plunge and bought a new 27" mac and external 2TB drive. I want to combine all of my libraries onto to this one hd and mac..I use referenced masters for about 90% of my work...didn't use it at first..

A couple questions...

How can I best migrate these all into one Aperture library and how do I eliminate duplicates..

Thanks...Nick

The best way to merge libraries is to export all the projects from one library, and import them into the new "main" library.  This is pretty straightforward to do.

Eliminating duplicates is another matter... there's no real automated way to do it, but you could view the entire library and sort and do some digging.
