I was just sent a new issue of the newsletter from LexJet which mentions a new inkjet paper with a metallic, high gloss finish. This is the first I've heard of this paper or similar papers for inkjet. Has anybody here been involved in testing this paper, or have familiarity with other versions of anything like it?
From them:
"What makes the prints look so distinctive is a combination of two things: a subtle silver metallic shimmer on the paper itself, and the high-gloss finish of the inkjet coating.
The 10-mil, 255g photo paper features an instant-dry, scratch-resistant surface that makes it practical for use in busy photo studios.
“LexJet customers have been asking for a inkjet-printable metallic photo paper for years. So we have invested considerable time and effort in researching possible solutions,” said product manager Alex Ried. “Until recently, we weren’t totally confident that we could deliver the type of top-quality Sunset paper that LexJet customers expect. But we are now.”

We now stock this Metallic photo paper at REDIpix.com. It is really great, especially for black and white photos. It works well with our Box mounting. Contact us if you want a free sample or $20 off on a box mount print.
