I like the compositional simplicity of the first one. If I would to change anything, it would be to clone out the cable (?) that hangs from the lower left-hand corner of the window.

The first shot of the window is definitely the better one. I agree with SB that cloning out the wire hanging from the window would be a good thing. I would consider that to be a relatively minor and quite justifiable manipulation of the image.

The second one is an interesting attempt, but I feel it doesn't quite work. The tonal gradient of the successive "ribs" of the bridge don't follow a visually coherent progression from light to dark values and there are numerous little details going on in the image that dilute the overall impact. But I appreciate what you were going for in the shot. Sometimes these things work and sometimes not. Just keep shooting.
