Title: Plain paper in Epson 3800
Post by: NigelC on February 08, 2010, 10:07:36 am
When I went to copy some scanned floor plans onto A3 paper, selecting plain paper in 3800 driver automatically changed ink to matte black. Expensive for 3 sheets of A3!. Is there any way in the menus to stop it changing form photo black to matte?

I might as well take advantage and use some matte/art papers for a bit.

I can't verify this as I'm at work, but I think the 3800 dialog box has plain paper listed under both matte and photo black inksets. I really don't use plain paper much in that printer, though, so might be remembering incorrectly.

If nothing else, create a custom setting.

I'll have to check that out.  I have just been using photo luster as the paper type when printing on plain paper....
