Title: Import options - General Zeroed?
Post by: andyptak on February 02, 2010, 06:14:36 pm
I use DXo to produce DNG's from my Sony a900 and then import intol LR. I don't want LR to make any (default) adjustments, which I know it does. I used the General Zero option for Import believing that it wouldn't touch my file, but I think it strips the DXo adjustments when I do that - they look awfullt flat since I started doing this - am I correct? Thanks.

Don't know the answer to that, but you could create a Develop preset with all of the sliders set to 0 and tell Lightroom to apply that on import - see if it makes a difference.

And.... Unless something major has changed, DxO sends a linear rendered RGB DNG to LR, its no longer a true Raw file. That’s probably why they look awful and flat.
