Title: Experience with Hahnemuhle Baryta FB
Post by: chez on January 30, 2010, 11:00:54 am
I see that Atlex is having a good sale on this paper. Seeking people's opinion on this paper compared to other high gloss papers. I'd be using it on a Z3100 printer.

thanks

the paper has a very distinct lavender base hue. That would be the starting point for determination of whether or not is for you. Beyond that, the surface is very nice fiber like gloss. Dmax, gamut, gloss differential, bronzing performance very high. More opinion and info here-

It prints really nicely, and is a great, substantial weight paper that doesn't show a strong curl.  As has been noted by others, though, it has a really unappealing color base that makes it very limited in application.  Prints with a lot of white in them, or ones that are framed with a paper reveal inside the mat will show off the pink/lavender tone of the paper.  In the right context it isn't noticeable, but other times it is rather unappealing.

I guess that review says it all. Thanks for your inputs.
