Title: Adding custom paper on with Z3100
Post by: Samaila Sodangi on January 29, 2010, 02:22:08 pm
High everyone,

I'm pulling my hair out on this one. Anyone who can help?
I'm trying to add a new paper on Z3100 (precisely breathingcolor's chromata white). I have followed all the process as in create and install ICC profile opting for printing the chart and profile later(having caliberated earlier). three hours after I loaded the roll paper back to profile(I unloaded it after printing the target) and proceeded with create ICC profile from a target that has already been printed and follwed all the process again to the stage of scanning the profiling chart to create the profile I was confronted with the following message:

Different paper type loaded
Different paper source loaded
load the printer with the ICC profiling chart printed on....canvas paper(size A3/B minimum)

I really cant understand because I printed the chart on the roll and loaded the roll back for the scanning.
HEEEELP!

Please consider this - try the same cycle again, except don't pull the roll, let the software and printer do it in one step.

Did you resolve this problem? If not, I have documented on my blog the procedure I use to set up the canvas as a fine art paper with quad blacks. I run loads of Chromata White through my Z3100. I'm getting very nice results.
