Title: self publishing a book
Post by: michaelbiondo on January 22, 2010, 05:22:23 pm
Hello, does anyone have any experience with printing their own book? I am looking to source a quantity of 500 to 1000 books about 30 pages 9X12" landscape orientation?
Thanks

My uncle recently wrote a book called Our Boomer Years (http://www.amazon.com/Our-Boomer-Years-Chas-Wienke/dp/1606963988). If you contact me offline, I could put you in touch with him so you could get his perspective on the subject.

www.paperchase.net (http://www.paperchase.net) and http://www.starprintbrokers.com/ (http://www.starprintbrokers.com/) are also options. Star Print Brokers quoted me a ballpark of $10 per book for 1,000 copies when I wanted a 13x11" 78 page book printed. Dirt cheap per copy, but where was I going to find $10k to self publish?
