Title: Suggestions for CD printer
Post by: whawn on December 26, 2009, 04:16:48 pm
Looking for a printer to print on a few CDs a week.  Those I've seen up close have seemed to me to be very flimsy.  Is there a middle-range between ultra-cheap and beefy industrial?

My office machine is an Epson RX680. Aside form being my copier and document printer, it does a nice job on CD's.

I use an r220 and print approximately 20-30 CDs a week, and occasionally many more, for several years.  my o ly suggestion is is to replace the epson cd tray with a sturdier one. I got mine on eBay early on and it made all the difference in the world.

If price is an issue, keep an eye on the Epson store outlet, I picked up a refurb RX595 for around $60 which is fine for me, I average around 4 discs a month.  Spend the extra $$ and get Taiyo Yuden watershield disks to print on (CD or DVD), the glossy surface makes the artwork look spectacular.
