Matt, It's a very pleasant shot and I guess I'd opt for the color version. But the color shot is roughly 1.5 megabytes and it takes time to download on DSL. Anything over about 500K is wasted as far as display on a normal monitor is concerned.

My vote goes to the B&W. It's better rotated as well.

Just me-
I find that huge green triangle at the lower left corner very distracting. The incomplete reflection in the water isn't compelling enough to be worth keeping that grassy slope. I'd crop the bottom and left to get rid of the grass. Like so:

Of course, if you like it the way it is, then go with it. That's one of the great things about photography; you only have to please yourself.

I like Geoff's cropping, and I prefer the BW version.

I prefer the B&W.  

The predominant colour in the photo is the green of the lawns with little added colour interest elsewhere other than some minor reds in the leaves.  Nothing interesting about the green lawns, and I'd say the first thing the viewer focuses on is the large green triangle of grass at the lower left.  So the B&W conversion I think removes this distraction and makes for a better photograph in this case.

I agree the foreground can be distracting, and that most of that distraction is color. The reflection is important to me. I've tried to accentuate the reflection, while darkening the foreground and keeping it B&W with a sepia look...Matt[attachment=17483:B_W_3.mi...4239_lzn.jpg]

This one works nicely for me.
