Title: 6,2 Gigapixel of St. Peter´s Church in Vienna
Post by: julian kalmar on October 06, 2009, 11:44:56 am
A new era of VR has began. Still there are some parts of the fresko and some symbols in the curch, no one knows the meaning of. Together with a scientist who is specialised in analysing such freskos, all Hs will be named in about half a year.

That's pretty awesome. One symbol I don't understand is the carriage tray of a printer in the ring around the dove in the dead centre. Lighting perhaps?

No!! It's the Illuminati!! I'm sure of it!!

You must have a super computer to process an image that size.

No, you can do this with every "normal" Comuter.
mine is a 3 year old 2,8 GHz 2Core.
The only thing you need is plenty free hard disk space and a lot of RAM (I have 16GB)

Positively amazing! And this time, the subject is worth the effort. Thanks for sharing.

Up to your usual high standard Julian. But I'm baffled as to why there is so much restriction of downward pitch.

At the moment I´m uploading a little correction, that´s the reason of the restriction.
In about three to four hours everything will be fast and without problems.
