Title: 2009 Nobel Prize in Physics

With all the past and current innovators in the photographic world, I wonder how these two will be remembered. Regardless of how one feels about film vs. digital, it's hard to argue these men didn't bring about possibly the most important change in photographic technology in the last 50 or more years. What's next?!

Congrats to them all!  FWIW, Willard Boyle is Canadian, not American, although he was working at Bell Labs when this work was done.

In some fields it seems that timing isn't everything. Allocation of Nobel prizes for example. Personally I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get the Nobel prize for literature this year because I sincerely intend to write numerous great books sooner or later...

Yes I fully intended to do something wonderful as well. I would like to be rewarded. It is the thoughts in my head that count right?
