Title: Water's edge

A shot taken by the shore at Humber Bay park at Lake Ontario. I like the minimalist quality of the image. I know about the horizon curve but don't care.

Agreed. I like the alternating bands created by the light sky, darker water at the horizon, lightened water from the waves followed by darkened water and then dark sand beach.

I like the minimalist composition. The combination of the monochromatic-blue color palette and the contrast between the texture of the beach and the smooth motion of the water is really nice. You caught the wave at just the right spot, and with just the right amount of smoothness/texture.

The curved horizon does bug me, though; if you corrected that I think it would make the composition stronger. I also might burn-down the top-central part of the sky, to match the light falloff in the corners.
