Title: Phase One mount swap - who does??

Any other companies out there who do mount swaps on phase one digital backs? Phase one charges $2500. Can't afford that....

Just to clarify: it's not the mounting (a plate or so) that will be exchanged - it's the whole unit. So mount swap means an exchange of the actual digiback.
Maybe accidentally you'll find a dealer who will offer a swap for about $1000... depending on the mount and the back you have.
I think chances are possibly better if you want to swap from Mamiya mount to any other mount whilst it will be harder to change from e.g. Contax to Mamiya mount.

You might try putting up a WTT (Want To Trade) ad in the buy and sell section specifying your mount and the back and mount you want to trade to--you never know--there may be someone out there with a similar condition, same model back wanting to go the other way...
