HI, I am using 17-40L and Canon 5D Mark II.
I just buy the lee filter density grad soft set, lee foundation kit holder and lee 77mm adaptor ring. But I using the HOYA NDx400 with lee holder foundation set @ 17mm have the black corner ( the adaptor have cut off the 4 corner ).
Which holder and adaptor ring can solve my problem ? Cokin Z-PRO holder and adaptor will fit for me ?
Thanks.

Try handheld, you'd be surprised how easy it is and accurate you can be.

With handholding the filter, how do you remain steady with a longer exposure? Or does that not matter if you shake a bit as long as you don't touch the lens / camera?

In Steve Kossack's latest DVD he advocates holding the filter up against the from of the lens. He did not address how he deals with shake other than to note he shoots many many frames for each composition. I was wondering, however.
