Well, Canon does not calibrate lenses for this. However, I sent my 10D in with and error 99 that I started to get after going to Alstrom and Antelope Canyon. Turns out they replaced the entire shutter assembly, recalibrated everything, etc.
Back focus is still there and I guess unless you are shooting sporting events (rapid shooting/focus) we are left with manual focusing for the fine images.
