Title: Help in identifying falcons in photos
Post by: feppe on June 07, 2009, 05:45:03 am
I took these photos a few years back in Granada, Spain. My Spanish is poor, so I didn't catch the name of the falcons, and my birding skills are non-existent, so I need help here. The first one instantly became on of my favorite photos.

Does anyone recognize these magnificent raptors? The first two shots are of the same bird. Or is there a database online I could refer to?

I'd ask this guy: http://www.spanishbirds.com/ (http://www.spanishbirds.com/)

I did, and Pieter from that site identified the falcon with the lady as Saker Falcon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saker_Falcon). Thanks Mike!
