Title: Check gamma of your monitor
Post by: MPatek on June 05, 2009, 11:09:59 pm
Hello,

I have added "GammaCalc (http://www.marcelpatek.com/gammacalc.php)" page to my recently launched web pages on color management.
From this page, you can upload your monitor measurement file that is obtained right after monitor calibration/profiling and confirm gamma value reported by your profiling software. Both grayscale ramp and RGB ramps are supported. In case of grayscale ramp, data is fitted using two methods: established RGB encoding standard and "classical" log-log gamma. In case of RGB ramps, only RGB encoding standard formula is used to arrive to gammas of each RGB channel. Details are provided in specific sections of color management web pages.
Fell free to use it for validating your calibration/profiling results.

enjoy,
Marcel
